Shift Planning

Automate communications to fulfil shift allocation

Shift Planning

Boomerang's shift planning solution drives automation into the allocation and management of shift work, to substantially reduce (Do Not Attend - DNAs) and manual overheads. Whilst reminders sent to employees prior to their shift are a useful means by which to avoid no shows, there is a huge amount of additional value in allowing employees to respond to a message to accept or decline work. This allows accepted shifts to be scheduled, and those that are declined can be reallocated to other members of staff. This removes the need for manual intervention, whilst optimising occupancy.

If the shift is declined (or the quota is not reached), offer this to other staff until the shift is fulfilled

Because of the nature of our end-users, their communications skills and platforms are variable; we therefore, need to have a number of channels open to claimants. SMS is proving to be our most effective method of communication.

Boomerang gave the opportunity to rapidly evaluate participants’ responses to messages and respond quickly to messages that failed to provide value to participants. The latter aspect is of particular importance for actively engaging patients with their healthcare enterprise.
